An associate doctor was taken into custody on March 10, after 'medical negligence' amid death of three patients, has been terminated from services at Delhi government's Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital. Maharashtra's Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has booked a medical superintendent in Pune at a sub-district hospital and has been fined for accepting bribe. Dr. Amit Hindurao Desai, an accused has been identified by the ACB. However, as per the Press Release, Mr Desai was supposed to visit another hospital to check if any wrong or illegal practices are going on. However, the case is being further investigated.

Bihar is aiming to set up chemotherapy units in Patna, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Gaya and Purina under the National Health Mission and sought Centre's help. Ashok Ghosh leading the research division of Mahavir Cancer institute reported 50,000-60,000 cancer cases annually. Recently, on January 19, the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh Government slashed RT-PCR test prices. Done to detect COVID-19, the tests will now be done for Rs 350, instead of previous Rs 499 at laboratories and hospitals. The Government asked the concerned authority and district officers to ensure, all labs and hospitals are following the new prices, issued by the state government. 

Kashmir Health Services Director has asked all the concerned officers to implement COVID-19 SOPs properly in all healthcare institutions. The order was issued in view of the recent COVID-19 surge in the country & detection of some Omicron cases in J&K. As per the order, they will ensure that no patient/attendant is allowed to enter hospital without RT-PCR testing, & masks are put on face by them properly.
