9 Indian Women's Hockey Players Appointed As IOC Employee
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) provided employment to nine Indian hockey players, on the occasion of International Women's Day. Ailing Hockey Player Gets Financial Help Of Rs 10 Lakh By Sports Ministry
Battling with a chronic kidney disease, former hockey Olympian Mohinder Pal Singh was given a financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh under Pandit Deendayal Upadhaya National Welfare Fund for Sportspersons. Khelo India U-21 Star Player Struggling To Make Ends Meet; Works 15 Hours As A Labourer
Guwahati edition Khelo India U-21 Games star player, Hockey-striker Harpreet Singh is reportedly working 15 hours a day as a labourer for a livelihood. Harpreet, who has played 11 nationals from Chandigarh is amused for not being selected to represent the nation. The player gets only two hours each day for hockey practice. With less practice and lack of nutritious food, he is now hoping for a scholarship, to return to turf.

Hockey Player Surender Kumar Readmitted to Hospital; Had Recovered from COVID-19
Indian hockey player, Surender Kumar, earlier tested with coronavirus, was readmitted to hospital in Bengaluru on August 20. He developed a swelling on the left arm, which, according to doctors, was due to the formation of a blood clot in his upper limb. Surender Kumar was discharged from the hospital a few days back after recovering from COVID-19. The doctors claimed this to be the aftereffect of recovery.
