Swine Flu Cases On Rise In Nepal; Reports 57 New Cases In 2 Months
Experts have called for a strict surveillance amid the rising number of H1N1 virus cases, also known as Swine Flu. At least 57 new cases of Swine Flu has been reported in the country in the last two months. This has come when the nation is battling the fourth wave of COVID-19. Public health officials have warned of a 'Twindemic' in Nepal, owing to rising Swine Flu and COVID cases.

Over 35 Arrested In Kathmandu For Running Fake Call Centre: Nepal
In Nepal's Kathmandu, as many as 35 persons including a Chinese national have been arrested for allegedly running a fake a call centre in Tinkune. The accused are being suspected for carrying out illegal activities and transactions. The police also confiscated laptops, computers and other documents from the office. Reportedly, the call centre is being operated since two years, and over 2,000 persons are employed.

PM Deuba Again Wins Party President Post: Nepal
Sher Bahadur Deuba, the incumbent PM of Nepal, won the president post of his party Nepali Congress (NC) for the second consecutive term. The 75-year-old Deuba defeated Dr. Shekhar Koirala by 1855 votes in the second round of voting to secure his victory in the election, reported ANI. Earlier, he faced four other candidates in the first round. Reportedly, Deuba first became the President of the NC in 2016.
