Minibus Accident In J&K’s Poonch Claims Lives Of 11, Leaves 25 Others Injured
In Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, in a minibus accident in Sawjian area, as many as 11 persons were killed and 25 other were left injured. Mandi Tehsildar Shehzad Latif said that the injured have been rushed to a hospital for treatment. Reportedly, the accident occurred when the minibus was travelling from Mandi to Sawjian. Also, the Indian Army is engaged in a rescue operation.

Security Forces Detect & Defuse Anti-Tank Mine In J&K's Samba District
In J&K's Samba district, an anti-tank mine was detected near the Bandh Tip area, on July 29. Reportedly, the mine found buried under the ground. Upon the mine's detection, Bomb Disposal Squads (BDS) immediately commenced an operation, and defused it. Earlier in January, in J&K's Poonch district, over 200 detonators were identified and destroyed by security forces.

Police Open Fire At 'Peaceful' Protestors In PoK's Poonch: Pakistan
In the Poonch area of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), police opened fire at peaceful protestors, on July 21. Several protestors were injured, and the death toll has not been revealed. As per sources, at least 65 arrested have been made, and 30 people have been booked under anti-terror laws. The protest broke out to revolt against high inflation and denial of basic human rights by Pakistan authorities, reported ANI.

Accidental Grenade Blast Kills 2 Army Personnel In J&K's Poonch
In Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch, an accidental grenade blast has claimed the lives of two Army personnel along the LoC. An Army officer and a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), who were injured in the blast, succumbed to their injuries during treatment. ITBP Officer Shoots Himself With Service Weapon In J&K's Poonch
In J&K's Poonch district, an ITBP officer shot himself dead with his service weapon, while on duty. Reportedly, the incident occurred at Mini-Secretariat in Poonch Town, and Prem Chand was posted as Assistant Sub-Inspector of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). Jammu Cop Arrested For Demanding & Accepting Bribe
In Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, a Station House Officer (SHO) of Loran police station, was arrested for accepting bribe from a complainant. Reportedly, SHO Ved Prakash accepted a bribe amount of Rs 10,000 from a complainant in a land dispute. Prakash, who is a resident of Haripur village of R S Tehsil was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting the bribe, after which, a case was registered against him.

1 Drug Peddler Held With 1.9 Kg Of Marijuana: Jammu & Kashmir
The Mendhar police have arrested one drug peddler named Kamlesh Kumar, carrying 1.9 kg of marijuana from the Mendhar area in Jammu & Kashmir.
