Goa CM Announces Unique Vehicle Sticker For Tourists
In order to prevent harassment cases against tourists in Goa, the State Tourism authority decided to issue a unique car stickers. Goa CM Pramod Sawant said, tourists entering the state will be given unique stickers to fix on their vehicles, so they are not harassed (by police) while moving across the coastal state. Sawant said, "Such vehicles will not be stopped (by police) for checking documents anywhere in the state."

Sonali Phogat Death Case: CBI Team Reaches Goa Office To Initiate Probe
After the death case of BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat was transferred to the CBI, a team of CBI officials arrived at Goa office to initiate the probe. The matter was transferred to CBI for probe on September 15. This came after Goa CM Pramod Sawant succumbed to the pressure laid down by Phogat’s family and Haryana CM, asking for the case to be transferred to CBI.

Sonali Phogat Death Case: Goa CM Pramod Sawant Transfers Case To CBI
Amid the ongoing investigation in the death case of BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat, succumbing to the growing demands, Goa CM Pramod Sawant has announced to transfer the case to CBI. This has come after constant pressure from Phogat’s family and the Haryana government. CM Sawant further stated that he will be writing to HM Amit Shah about the same.

Goa CM Expands Cabinet, Inducts 3 New Ministers On April 9
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant expanded his Cabinet for the first time after winning the 2022 Goa Assembly elections, on April 9. The new MLAs inducted in the BJP-led Goa Cabinet are; Ramakrishna alias Sudhin Dhavalikar, Subhash Phal Dessai, and Nikanth Halarnkar. Governor PS Sridharan Pillai administered the oath of office to the new ministers at Durbar Hall, in Dona Paula, Goa. With new ministers, Goa has 11 Cabinet ministers.

Pramod Sawant Takes Oath As Goa CM On March 28
After winning the Goa Assembly Elections 2022, BJP leader Pramod Sawant took oath as the State CM, on March 28. The swearing-in ceremony was held at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Taleigao, in the presence of PM Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah and other. Vishwajit Rane, Mauvin Godinho, Ravi Naik, Nilesh Cabral, Subhash Shirodkar, Rohan Khaunte, Govind Gaude, and Atanasio Monserrate also took oath as cabinet ministers.

Goa CM Announces Electric Mobility Promotion Policy 2021
Goa Government on December 4, announced Goa Electric Mobility Promotion Policy 2021 for the next five years. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, the policy will help to generate 10,000 new jobs in the state and also encourage investment. For every 25 km on the highway there will reportedly be charging stations and for every 3 km in the city. About 50 stations will be installed within 3 months, he added.

Goa Mandates COVID Negative Report, Vaccination Proof For Tourists
Goa CM Pramod Sawant on May 7 announced that tourists entering the state will now have to mandatorily produce valid RT-PCR negative test reports or proof of vaccination. The measure, which followed the Bombay High Court's observation that Goa is not serious about restrictions, will be enforced from next week. Earlier, the HC had said it was "not justified" for the government to refrain from restrictions citing tourism.
