After the Rajasthan Police detained BJP leader Kirodi Lal Meena, party workers held another protest in Jaipur, against the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress Government. Notably, the protest of widows' of jawans, who died in the Pulwama attack, came after Ashok Gehlot accused Mr Meena of using widows for political gains. Mr Meena, in turn, has accused the police of "trying to kill him". The protest intensified in Jaipur.

Senior BRS leader and Nizamabad MLC K Kavitha is set to hold 12 hours, hunger strike in Delhi. The strike on March 10, is in the view of the demand of 'introduction of Women's Reservation Bill' in Parliament. Uddhav Thackeray faction leaders staged a protest outside Matoshree in Bandra, and staged a protest against the decision of the ECI.
