Large protests took place across Jammu and Kashmir on May 12 as Kashmiri Pandits sought protection following the assassination of a 36-year-old member of the community. There were clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli police forces in Jerusalem last week. This comes amid several weeks of violence unfolding in Israel and the West Bank, following multiple terrorist attacks. The US State Department has called on all sides to exercise restraint.

Movement of Change for Afghanistan Party members protested in Kabul city for women's access to education and work.  On March 12, to celebrate the international week women gathered and urged the Taliban to establish a commission, reported Tolo news. "We call on the Islamic Emirate to support us and let us go to work," Zarifa Yaqobi, MoCAP. Notably, after Taliban takeover, Afghan women are restricted to get education and work.

The students outfit in Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) university, asked the authority to re-open the Institute. They staged a protest outside gate no 7 of the campus, after which, the police started detaining them. The students said, it has been over two years, the JMI has been closed and students across the country are demanding offline classes after the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) approved reopening of classes.
