A taxi driver in Goa's Anjuna, has been arrested for allegedly molesting a woman tourist from Chennai. Reportedly, the driver who was giving the victim a ride from the airport to her villa in Anjuna, allegedly grabbed her and molested her. Following which, the woman ran inside the villa and lodged a police complaint. Within two hours of lodging the complaint, the can driver was identified and arrested.

Out on bail in rape charges in a 2020 rape case, a man allegedly raped the same victim (19) again with the point of a knife. On August 3, the Madhya Pradesh Police confirmed the arrest and said the man who was released recently went to the victim's house in Jabalpur district, raped and threatened her to withdraw the complaint. The victim registered a complaint and search is underway.

A special court in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh convicted a man for alleged rape and sexual assault on a minor in 2015. The Special Judge for the POCSO court Sangeeta Kumar pronounced 10 years of rigorous imprisonment on the convict Shanu Ali and imposed Rs 70,000 fine, which will be handed over to the survivor. Notably, seven years ago, the victim's father registered an FIR, which was under trial since 2015,

In Uttar Pradesh's Banda district, a four-year-old minor girl was allegedly raped by a man from her village, who lured the victim, when she was playing outside her home, confirmed police on July 23. Banda Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhinandan said the accused, Farid (22), was arrested and a case under the POCSO Act and IPC sections has been registered. The victim is in hospital and is in critical condition.

In Assam's Hailakandi district, two youths have been arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl, informed police on July 21. The accused have been identified as Abul Hussain and Salim Uddin. According to Superintendent of Police Gaurav Upadhyay, the minor was raped in the forest area of Kanchiala village. He further stated that the forest area is very remote, and the officials have taken the matter very seriously.
