Security Forces Open Fire At 'Civilians' In Nagaland; 6 Dead, 2 Injured

In a tragic incident, at least six civilians died and two suffered injuries after security forces allegedly opened fire on them suspecting them to be NSCN militants in Nagaland's Oting village of Mon district, on December 5. CM Neiphiu Rio sent his condolences to the bereaved families and wished speedy recoveries to the injured ones. Security Forces Shoot Down Militant In South Kashmir Valley

Anayat Ashraf Dar, a militant of the south Kashmir Valley was shot down in an operation by the Kashmiri Forces on 23rd September. A pistol and some ammunition were recovered from his possession. Dar upon failing to surrender, triggered a shootout. During the encounter, "the newly active terrorist was neutralised,” the police reported. On September 22, Dar had fired upon a civilian Jeewer Hameed Bhat, who was seriously injured.

Rajouri Encounter: 2 Terrorists Killed During Operation In J&K

Two terrorists were gunned down in cross-firing in the Rajouri district of J&K on August 6. The armed forces and the J&K police were conducting a joint operation to track a group of militants in the Thanamandi forest belt area where the incident occurred. Suspicious Drone Activity Spotted In Samba District Of J&K

J&K Police spotted four suspicious drone movements on the night of August 1. One was spotted at the Samba's Bari Bhramna near the police station, another at Balol Bridge, and two nearby locations. "Drones were spotted between 09:30 pm to 10:00 pm at different locations", police sources said. A high alert has been issued and a Quick Response Team was sent on the search operation.

Terrorist Kills Security Jawan In An Encounter At J&K's Pulwama

In an encounter with terrorists, an army jawan was killed in the Rajpora area of J&K's Pulwama district during a search operation launched by the Security Force. 3 Militants Killed In An Encounter With Security Forces In J&K

Reportedly, following a tip-off of militant’s presence the forces initiated a search operation at Vailoo in the Komernag area of district. J&K: Three Unidentified Terrorists Killed After 18 Hours Of Gunfight

Indian security forces killed three terrorists during a search operation in the Lawyapora area of Srinagar. The encounter that broke out on the evening of December 29, went on for 18 long hours. Inspector General of Kashmir Police, Vijay Kumar confirmed the incident and informed regarding the recovery of arms and ammunition, including the dead bodies. "An investigation is going on in-order to identity the killed terrorists," he added.
