55,000 Indians Travelled To Maldives From Jan-Apr 2021

As flights to Malé resumed on July 17, Mumbai International Airport Ltd. stated that 55,000 people had travelled to the Maldives from January to April. The Maldives government had banned Indian flights in May due to the surge in COVID-19 cases. The island nation and Dubai are Indian travellers' preferred countries amongst others with whom India has signed an air bubble agreement. Besides, South Asian travellers will be issued visa-on-arrival.
