80-year-old Legally Declared Dead Fights To Get Widow Pension In UP

An 80-year-old woman from UP’s Moradabad has been struggling to prove herself alive and revive her widow pension stopped two years ago. Sharifan’s name was struck-off from the beneficiary list after she was mistakenly declared dead in the government records. While the issue publicly surfaced during ‘Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas’ organised by the district administration, Moradabad SDM Prashant Tiwari directed officials to rectify the error and ordered a probe.
