8,000 Jumbo Jets Required to Deliver COVID Vaccine to 7.8 Billion: IATA

Approximately 8,000 jumbo-jets will be needed to deliver Coronavirus vaccine, warned International Air Transport Association (IATA). Alerting it to be the biggest challenge aviation industry has faced, IATA asked governments to plan their logistics chain for swift movement of vaccines. Vaccines storage will also require specific temperature, hence not all planes would be suited to carry them. IATA further stated that some operators have minimized their fleet due to low traffic.
