Army Helps To Celebrate 'Youm-e-Rasul Mir' After Three Decades
Through the Indian Army's initiative, the Kashmiri town of Dooru-Shahabad celebrated 'Youm-e-Rasul Mir' after three decades venerating 19th-century legendary native poet Rasul Mir. The festival, previously halted over the outbreak of terrorism, commemorates Mir's legacy - the romantic poet distinguished as the 'John Keats of Kashmir.' Organised by the 19 Rashtriya Rifles and civil administration, the event served as a getaway for the youth to connect with their 'Kashmiriyat'.
