BSF Shillong To Train Two Indian Breed Dogs For Border Patrolling
After the Indian Army, the Border Security Force’s Shillong unit has been planning to train two Indian dog breeds -Rajapalayam and Mudhol - for patrolling activities. Currently trained on a trial basis for one year, the dogs will be inducted to the forces for border patrolling in the unit. A BSF veterinarian said that if the trials were successful, other Indian dog breeds would be trained as military dogs.
