China Extends Support To India For Hosting BRICS 2021 New Delhi Summit

In a rare instance, China has backed India for hosting BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) 2021 summit in New Delhi. Calling BRICS a "constructive force" China's Foreign Ministry spokesman said, "we are committed to deepening strategic partnership within it to consolidate solidarity". However, the officials did not clarify if Sino President Xi Jinping would attend it. Interestingly, China has offered India support when both countries have just sorted their long-stalled border dispute.
