China Says It Does Not Recognise Arunachal Pradesh as Part of India
According to a statement by the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Zhao Lijian, China does not consider Arunachal Pradesh as 'a part of India'. Instead, he claimed that it is a 'part of China's South Tibet region'. Lijian also denied accusations of the kidnapping of five people belonging to the Tagin community from Arunachal Pradesh. Earlier, reports had surfaced claiming the Chinese Army kidnapped the people, who were out for hunting.
