According to the Indian Express, Tamil Nadu's DMK government may give "long parole" to the seven convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. CM M.K. Stalin is considering the previous AIADMK government's request for their immediate release owing to the convicts' "reformed status", as per the prison authorities. However, the administrative authorities will make a decision after queries regarding the four Sri Lankans among the seven convicts are answered.
