India At UN: State-Backed Terrorism Ushering Discrimination, Hatred

India’s UN representative TS Trimurti has strongly condemned state-sponsored terrorism calling it a cause of discrimination against the minorities in society. Speaking at the UN’s Economic and Social Council meeting on racism, xenophobia, and discrimination against minorities, he also asked the member nations to denounce any efforts to justify terrorism. Moreover, expressing his grief over the role of new media in amplifying racial hatred, Trimurti called to fight ‘infodemic’ to ensure social cohesion.
