Japan Extends ¥232.86-Bn Loan To India For Infrastructure Projects
India has inked a ¥232.86 billion loan agreement deal with Japan for important infrastructure projects while separately taking ¥119.9 billion for developing Delhi Metro. Reportedly, around ¥4.02 billion will be spent to procure 15MWh batteries and power system stabilisers to ensuring 100% renewable energy in South Andaman. Besides facilitating crop diversification project in Himachal Pradesh, the 1.15% per annum interest loan with 30+10 year redemption period will fund fluorosis mitigation project in Rajasthan.
