J&K Administration Extends Ban On High Speed Internet Till Feb 6
The Jammu and Kashmir government on January 22 extended the ban on high-speed internet services across J&K till February 6. However, Ganderbal and Udhampur districts are immune from the ban. The government cited circulation of inflammatory and seditious propaganda content for the internet ban. Moreover, allowing restricted broadband services over landline, the government said such bans helped to thwart terrorism. The Centre has imposed the 4G internet ban in J&K since August 2019.
