J&K: Army Jawan Martyred In Ceasefire Violation By Pakistan In Poonch
An Indian soldier was martyred after Pakistani troops on January 21 violated the ceasefire at the Line of Control (LoC). The soldier, Havildar Nirmal Singh of J&K Rifles, sustained critical injuries in the cross-border firing at Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, and later succumbed to them. Reportedly, this is the second casualty since January 1 as earlier a Naib Subedar was killed in the ceasefire violation at LoC in Rajouri district.
