Kerala: 98 CPI(M) Members Defect To BJP Ahead Of Assembly Polls

Ahead of the Kerala Assembly elections, 98 members of the CPI(M) defected to the BJP on February 23 in the presence of Union Minister Prahlad Joshi. Led by Mukul Prabhakaran, the CPI(M) members even proposed to convert the party's regional office into the BJP office. Moreover, BJP Leader VV Rajesh has hinted at the likelihood of several such defections in the coming days. Recently, Metro Man E Sreedharan had joined the BJP.
