Prez Biden's $1.9 Trillion COVID-19 Relief Bill Gets US Congress Nod
In a huge win for American President Joe Biden, the US Congress on March 10 approved the $1.9-trillion COVID-19 relief bill. The largest US rescue bill was passed by the House of Representatives by a 220-211 vote. However, no republican voted in favor of the bill. Biden called it a "historic victory for the American people". The bill would cover vaccine distribution, stimulus checks of up to $1,400 to most Americans, and numerous unemployment benefits.
