Sisters Claim Ayodhya Mosque Land As Family Property, Move To HC
The Allahabad High Court's Lucknow bench on February 3 was approached by two Delhi-based sisters, who are claiming ownership over the 5-acre mosque-construction land of Sunni Central Waqf Board. The petitioners said their father was given 28-acre land, which included the land in question, when he settled in Ayodhya post partition. With petition scheduled for hearing on February 8, the claimants demanded to defer the land transfer to the board till the case was settled.
