Water, Power Cuts Agitates Protest In Iraq Amid Scorching Temperature
Hundred of Iraqis took to the streets of Baghdad on July 2 to protest against the excessive power and water cuts amid scorching temperatures of 50 degrees in some parts of Iraq. Residents reported that the power went out completely before dawn in most of the country’s provinces. Iraqis are seen criticizing the government for not providing enough electricity to its citizens. "It's just getting worse,” said Haider Hussein, a 32-year-old laborer.
