WHO Warns Against Vaccine Hoarding As Supply Lessened For Poor Countries
The WHO warned several rich nations against hoarding vaccines for booster shots to fight Omicron threat. Notably, countries are authorizing booster doses to elderly and people with underlying health issues. The WHO condemned the hoarding and said storage will affect poor countries, which will have insufficient doses, especially when Omicron is spreading rapidly. The WHO emergencies director Mike Ryan said, "Omicron appeared to be 'fitter and faster".
