110 Manufacturers Produce Over Five Lakh PPE Kits Everyday: Harsh Vardhan

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on September 26 said India has 110 manufacturers of PPE kits, who produce over five lakh kits everyday. Speaking at the 79th Foundation Day of CSIR, he asserted that India has ramped up health infrastructure: From one testing lab in the initial days of COVID-19 to 1,823 labs currently. He also mentioned that the recovery rate has improved to 82% from the initial 9-12%.

Harsh Vardhan Blames 'Irresponsible Behaviour' for COVID-19 Surge
