Ganesh Chariot Comes In Contact With Live Wire In Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar; 2 Dead, 3 Injured
In Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar, two people passed away by way of electrocution, and three others have been injured, on September 1. The incident occurred in the Sokkanathur Puttur area near Rajapalayam, when a Ganesh chariot came in contact with a live wire. The incident brought the festival celebrities to a stop. Three People Died Of Electrocution In Tamil Nadu, CM Announces Ex-Gratia
In Tamil Nadu's Villupuram district, three men aged between 40 to 45 years old, died of electrocution, on July 20. The victims came into contact with a electric fence in a farm and died. The TN CM MK Stalin announced a solatium of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the three deceased persons, from the CM Relief Fund. The victims belonged to Vanniper village in the same district.

7-Year-Old, 2 Others Electrocuted In Amiliyapal Village In Uttar Pradesh
In Uttar Pradesh's Amiliyapal village, a seven-year-old boy and two men were electrocuted, confirmed the area police, on July 1. 11 Dead & 15 Injured In Thanjavur Electrocution Incident; CM Stalin Announces Ex Gratia
In a tragic incident, 11 people lost their lives and 15 others were injured in the Thanjavur electrocution incident. Reportedly, a high tension wire came in contact with a car, which caused a fire. The injured have been admitted to Thanjavur Government Medical College and Hospital. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin visited the injured and assured Rs 1 lakh ex gratia to the severely injured and Rs 50,000 to others.

Thanjavur Temple: 11 Dead Due To Electrocution, Probe On
A probe is underway after eleven people died due to electrocution at the Appar Swami temple in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, during a procession. Commenting on the tragic incident, the Inspector General of Police (Tiruchi Range), V Balakrishnan, noted that an investigation has already been initiated, following the registration of an FIR. Besides, Chief Minister MK Stalin has announced ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakhs, for the victims' families.

2 Brothers Electrocuted While Irrigating Fields: UP
In UP's Pilibhit, two brother were electrocuted while irrigating their fields, on April 24. The deceased have been identified as Rajendra Prasad (54) and Rameshwar Dayal (46), both residents of Lalaur Gujranpur village. 2 Band Members Electrocuted During Marriage Event: Haryana
During a marriage event in Haryana's Junhera village, two band members died of electrocution, on February 20. Akbar (25) and Atru (45) were reportedly holding umbrella lights during the ceremony, when they came in contact with a live wire, which electrocuted then instantly. Reportedly, Akbar is survived by his wife and five children. Whereas, Atru is survived by his wife and nine children.

Delhi Police Personnel Saves Injured Peacock In Burari Area
In north Delhi's Burari, Delhi Police personnel managed to save the life of a peacock who became unconscious due to electrocution, said the police on January 5. Reportedly, the police personnel of the Burari police was informed by locals about the injured peacock on January 3. Poachers Kill Radio-Collared Tigress By Electrocution In MP
In Madhya Pradesh's Singrauli district, an adult tigress from the Sanjay Tiger Reserve was allegedly killed by poachers through electrocution, said an official on November 21. Forest officials also found the burnt skin, hairs, and collar ID of the cat, identified as T-30, near Banjari village. "A search is on with the help of police to trace and nab poachers involved in the incident,'' said YP Singh, the Reserve Director.

Electrocution Takes Adult Elephant's Life In West Bengal's Jalpaiguri
In a tragic incident, forest officials of West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district found an adult elephant dead on the morning of November 17. The cause of the unfortunate death is reported to be electrocution. The body of the elephant was found in a paddy field in Jalpaiguri's Mogolkota Rava Bustee.
