Domestic helper named Amit Kumar was killed by his friend Mahendra over a heated argument. The 35-year-old Kumar's brother lodged a missing complaint at the police station on March 5. 7 Held For Printing Fake Notes By UP Police In Ghaziabad

Uttar Pradesh police busted a gang of seven people who were involved in printing fake Indian currency from Ghaziabad, on January 7. Reportedly, they were operating from the city's Kaila Bhatta and Islamnagar area. The police also seized fake notes of Rs 6.60 lakh face value, one printer, a paper-cutting machine, and blank paper. The main accused, Azad, said that he learned the printing of fake notes from YouTube.

Police Raid Illegal Arms Factory In UP's Ghaziabad; 5 Arrested, Weapons Seized

In UP's Ghaziabad, police conducted a raid in an illegal arms factory based on a tip-off, on December 21. The raid was conducted at the basement of a house in Muradnagar area. Reportedly, five persons were arrested and three managed to escape. According to ASP Akash Patel, police have recovered 15 country-made pistols, 12 barrels of pistols, two barrels of .12 bore and five magazines of .32 bore pistols.

Wasim Rizvi Becomes Harbir Narayan Singh Tyagi; Coverts To Hindu: UP

Wasim Rizvi, UP Central Shia Waqf Board Chairman, on December 6 converted to Hindu, leaving Islam. Mahant Narasimha Ananda Sarawati of Dasna Temple helped Rizvi to change his religion.  After conversion, Rizvi took a new name, Harbir Singh Narayan Tyagi. He also announced his will to be cremated as per Hindu rituals, instead of being buried and said his pyre to be lit by the Temple's Mahant in Ghaziabad.

Ghaziabad Police Busts Fake Call Centre, Arrests 2 Members: UP

Ghaziabad police on September 30 said that they busted a fake call centre and arrested two accused, Raghav alias Ragho and Shiv Kumar, in Uttar Pradesh's Kavi Nagar behind Gaur Mall. The city SP Nipun Agarwal said the call centre duped many people on the pretext of providing them loans. The police recovered 11 cellphones, seven passbooks, six ATM cards and six checkbooks.

8-Year-Old Girl Pranks Uttar Pradesh Police, Claims Of 5 Murder

UP's Ghaziabad police were pranked by an eight-year-old girl who called them on July 20, saying ''police uncle, 5 murder ho gaya hai. Gali number 5, sarkari school ke pass. Aap jaldi aa jao, main akeli hoon.'' However, police found that the girl loves watching crime shows and wanted to know whether police arrives on time or not. Reportedly, police have warned the father about his daughter's actions for the future.

Sandeep Kumar, a 28-year-old man's intestines and rectum have a severe injury after two of his friends allegedly inserted an air compressor pipe in his anus and released the pressure. The victim has been sent to the hospital, and his "condition is critical," said the doctor. However, the police claim that the duo tried to kill Kumar, and have arrested both the accused.
