In Gujarat's Borsad, a truck mowed down a police constable who tried to stop the truck, during the intervening night on July 19-20. The incident occurred at around 1 pm, when a police personnel who was on routine night patrol, decided to stop a truck out of suspicion. The truck driver, hesitant to stop, ran over the police constable, who then succumbed to his injuries. The driver is arrested.

In Gujarat's Dahod district. a goods train derailed near Mangal Mahudi railway station causing disruption in the rail traffic movement, on July 18. As per sources, 16 coaches of the train derailed between Mangal Mahudi - Limkheda stations, which disturbed the power supply.
