Haryana DSP Killing: Judicial Probe Ordered, Says Home Minister Anil Vij
The state home minister of Haryana Anil Vij has ordered a judicial probe into the killing of Haryana DSP by mining mafia. Tauru Deputy Superintendent of Police Surender Singh was allegedly murdered by mining mafia in Nuh district, on July 19. Reportedly, Singh was run over by a dumper truck, which Singh tried to stop for checking. Following the incident, the vehicle was seized and the truck driver was arrested.

Stray Dogs Attack & Kill 10-Year-Old Boy In Kurukshetra: Haryana
In Haryana's Kurukshetra, a pack of stray dogs mauled a 10-year-old boy to death in Chanarthal village, informed police on June 29. Reportedly, the boy's father and mother were working in a field, when he and his sister Anjali ventured to eat Jamun (Java plum). The boy was sleeping under a tree when the dogs attacked him. The boy was declared dead at the hospital.

Haryana Civil Polls Underway, 12.60 Lakh Voters Eligible
Haryana Municipal committees and municipal council elections for 28 and 18 seats respectively are underway on June 19. Scheduled between 7am-6pm, the polling will be held in 1,290 (municipal councils) and 671 stations (municipalities). Delhi Jal Board Askes Haryana To Assist With Delhi's Water Shortage
Vice-Chairman of Delhi Jal Board, Saurabh Bharadwaj, has voiced grave concern over the river Yamuna's dwindling water levels and requested Haryana government to release Delhi's share of the river's water to help manage Delhi's water problem. Water Supply To Remain Hit In Parts Of Delhi; Here Are Areas Affected
Water supply in parts of Delhi will remain hit, on June 10, reported Delhi Jal Board (DJB). DJB cited Haryana releasing less water in the Yamuna river. Haryana supplies a total of 610 million gallons of water to Delhi in a day using two canals. Delhi requires 1,200 MGD water, while DJB supplies 950 MGD. Water in North, West, South, Northeast and Central Delhi, will be available at low pressure.

Ex Haryana CM Chautala Gets 4-Year Jail Term In Disproportionate Assets Case
Former Chief of Minister of Haryana Om Prakash Chautala has been sentenced to four years of imprisonment by a special CBI court, in a disproportionate assets case, on May 27. The court also slammed Chautala with a fine of Rs 50 lakh, and confiscated four of his properties. According to CBI's FIR, Chautala has been accused for accumulating movable and immovable properties, disproportionate to his known lawful sources of income.

CRPF Constable Slits Wrist, Dies By Suicide In Bijapur: Chhattisgarh
In a tragic incident, CRPF Constable Mohan, who hailed from Haryana, slit his wrist and died by suicide, for reasons unknown, on May 24. The incident occurred in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, at the camp of CRPF's 170th battallion located at Jaitaloor road. Soon after the incident, officials rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy. Furthermore, Mohan's body has been sent to his native village in Haryana.

Delhi Court Issues Notice To Present Accused For Rishabh Pant Cheque Bounce Case
In a cheque bounce case filed by cricketer Rishabh Pant, Delhi Court ordered Arthur Road Jail authorities to present accused Haryana player Mrinank Singh. Mrinank Singh is accused of defrauding Rishabh Pant under the guise of arranging discounted watches and other accessories. Singh allegedly failed to collect the products, and the agreement was canceled. Following that, the parties reached an oral agreement for Rs 1.63 crores.
