PhonePe To Litigate BharatPe Again Over Usage Of 'Pe' Suffix
PhonePe, which is owned by Flipkart, claims to hold the 'Pe' suffix as part of its registered brand. The business has requested an injunction to prevent BharatPe's parent company, Resilient Innovations Pvt. Ltd, from "misusing" the suffix. PhonePe is anticipated to launch a new lawsuit soon. “We will continue to strongly defend any legal action that PhonePe threatens to institute against us," stated BharatPe spokesperson.

Trump Sues U.S. House Committee Investigating January 6 Attack On Capitol
Former US President Donald Trump has sued the U.S Congressional committee, investigating the January 6 riot at the Capitol, claiming that the members had made an illegal request for his White House records. The lawsuit asserted that materials sought by the House of Representatives committee are covered by a legal doctrine known as executive privilege. The doctrine protects the confidentiality of White House communications.

Twitter Attempts To Settle 2016 Lawsuit With $800 Million
Twitter announced that it will pay $809.5 million to resolve shareholder class-action lawsuit alleging that the firm misled investors about how often its platform was utilized, on September 20. The deal put an end to a case that shareholders sued in September 2016. Jury-selection was supposed to begin on September 20, but U.S. District-Judge Jon Tigar in Oakland, California postponed it until late November at a hearing on September 17.

South African Model Sues Twitter For $10 Million Over Copyright Issue
Genevieve Morton, a ''Sports Illustrated'' swimsuit Model, has filed a Copyright infringement lawsuit against Twitter for $10 million. Reportedly, Morton was unpleased with her cropped photos being posted by an unauthorized account and Twitter was slow to take them down. However, Twitter suspended the account namely @city_tits but Morton sought at least $150,000 for 67 likes on two of her photos that were used by the unauthorized account.

Zoom Breaches Data Privacy; Agrees For Settlement Fee Of $85 Mn
Following a lawsuit that was slapped on Zoom claiming it stealthily transferred the users' personal data to Facebook, Google, and Linkedin, the platform has agreed to pay a settlement fee of $85 million in the USA on August 1. The money will be used to set up ''a non-reversionary cash fund to pay valid claims, notice, any attorneys' fees.'' The settlement is yet to be approved by the court.

Actress Juhi Chawla has filed a plea in Delhi HC against the implementation of 5G network in India.
