A 21-year-old youth, in love with his distant relative, killed an 87-year-old woman because he “wanted a corpse to cook up his girlfriend’s death story and eventually elope to a foreign country”. The incident took place in Bhachau town of Gujarat’s Kutch district as the youth went on a search for a woman of the same height and build of his 22-year-old girlfriend, which led him to the elderly woman.

In Delhi's Daryaganj, a woman Zeeba Qureshi (40) and her lover Shoaib were arrested for husband's murder, said police on May 27. Moinuddin Qureshi (47) was shot dead on the night of May 17, by Shoaib in a white motorcycle. Notably, Zeeba wanted to get rid of her husband and planned the murder. Moreover, the week-old case was hatched with the help of a motorcycle, that belonged to the accused.
In a bizarre incident, a millionaire's wife eloped with an auto-rickshaw driver with cash of Rs 47 lakh in Madhya Pradesh's Indore. Reportedly, the driver Imran is 13 years younger than the woman whom he used to drop at her house. Her husband lodged the complaint with the police. Police have recovered 33 lakh cash from the house of Imran's friend. However, the police are yet to apprehend them.

Rajasthan's Barmer police arrested a woman, Zarina Bano, and her two lovers named Allauddin and Barkat Khan who collectively murdered the woman's 44-year-old husband Yusub on August 5. The police started the investigation following Yusub's brother's complaint that his brother is missing for days. Reportedly, Zarina was in a relationship with the men. Besides, the police gradually cracked the murder case suspecting Allauddin’s activity.
Maroti Karke, an employee of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) in Maharashtra was killed by his 25-year-old wife Prajakta who allegedly united with her boyfriend and her mother to murder him and claim his job. Reportedly, Prajakta was disturbed by Karke's alcoholic behavior and wanted to spend her life with her boyfriend Sanjay Tikle, who happened to be her sister's brother-in-law. Police have arrested six people in connection to the case.

Bihar's Muzzafarpur police have arrested a man named Sushant Pandey, including three of his aids who killed and mutilated the genitals of the 17-year-old Saurabh Kumar on July 23. Reportedly, ''Pandey called the victim Saurabh to his house'' and killed him for having a love affair with his sister. ''Post mortem is being done and further details. Will be revealed after the report come,'' said SP Rajesh Kumar.

Delhi police have arrested a 46-year-old man who allegedly killed a 20-year-old youth and dumped the body outside a gym on July 8 with the help of his friend, who is now absconding. The police said that the man was unhappy with the victim as he was in a relationship with his 17-year-old daughter. On July 7, the man saw the victim with his daughter and thrashed him until dead.

Reshma, a 24-year-old woman, who abandoned her newborn baby to die to live with her Facebook lover has been arrested by police in Kerala's Kollam district on July 3. Reportedly, Reshma's cousin Arya (23) and sister-in-law Greeshma (22) were pranking Reshma through Facebook and both allegedly died by suicide due to fear of getting caught. Meanwhile, police got a breakthrough from Greeshma's lover as she had told him about the prank.

A woman from Dombivali and her lover along with his other partner were arrested by the crime branch police, Thane for allegedly killing her husband. However, a missing complaint about Pravin Patil was lodged at the Manpada police station on June 4, after which his wife, Laxmi Patil was questioned. Finding her answers elusive and incorrect, police arrested them based on her call records.
