Manipur Ethnic Violence: SC Seeks Response Over 30 Missing People

In violence-hit Manipur, at least 30 people went missing in the past three months, said reports. Neither the Manipur government, nor the state police able to find these missing people, who went out of their houses like usual, but never returned home. The Supreme Court in a recent hearing raised the concerns and asked the officials to take action. In addition, the opposition also slammed the BJP-government for no action.

CBI Registers FIR In Manipur Sexual Violence Assault

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over the Manipur Assault and Violence against women matter.  In the latest development, the CBI registered a FIR and started a detailed probe. Recently, the Union Home Ministry submitted a report in the Supreme Court and said, the case would be handed over to the CBI. Meanwhile, after the netizen's protest and viral video, the Manipur Police made six arrest in the matter.
