A Borivli court has sent Kamal Rashid Khan to 14-days judicial custody for his controversial tweet, posted in 2020. On August 30, Bollywood actor and critic known as KRK was produced before the court, hours after his arrest. Notably, on the night of August 29, the Malad Police arrested Kamal, when he returned from Dubai. Furthermore, the details of the controversial derogatory tweet is yet not revealed.

Actress and 'Bigg Boss OTT' fame Urfi Javed took to Instagram and extended gratitude to the Mumbai Police for arresting the man, who allegedly threatened her. Notably, Javed filed filed an FIR against a man, whose photo she already shared on Instagram, saying that he has been harassing her and even gave cyber-rape threats. In Central Mumbai's Wadala area, a senior citizen Shantaram Patil Sakat (62) was attacked by Kamlesh Narkar (40), confirmed police on July 26. The accused attacked Sakat with a hammer over an old dispute and fled the spot. The RAM Marg Police registered a case under section 307 (attempt to murder) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC,) and arrested Kamlesh. Further investigation is underway.

Nearly 40,000 motorists in Mumbai were fined for traffic violations on June 4 as part of a special 12-hour drive.
