Gurugram Hotel Leela Receives Bomb Threat Call, Evacuates Guests

A hotel in Gurugram named Gurugram Leela Hotel panicked and started evacuation after receiving a threat call. In addition, a search is on to trace it, confirmed police on September 13. Notably, the call was received at Leela Hotel in the Ambiance Mall complex around 11:35, following which police was immediately informed and bomb disposal and dog squads reached the hotel for further process.

Fire In Hotel Kills 6, Leaves Many Injured: Secunderabad

A massive fire broke out in an electric scooter charging unit showroom, located on the first floor of a hotel building in Secunderabad, Telangana. Occurred on the late night of September 12, the fire spread to the other floors, killing six people and leaving many injured. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and a rescue operation is underway, said Hyderabad Commissioner CV Anand. Moreover, Telangana HM Mahmood Ali ordered probe.

Massuer Rapes Woman From Netherland In Hotel: Jaipur

In Rajasthan's Jaipur, a woman from the Netherlands was allegedly raped at a hotel. Reportedly, in the pretext of giving an ayurvedic massage, the crime was committed. Furthermore, the accused has been arrested in just four hours and works as a massage service provider in Khatipura, Jaipur. However, DCP West Richa Tomar said that the police are interrogating the accused and a case has been registered.

BMC Issues Notice To Sonu Sood Over 6-Storey Hotel In Juhu

Actor Sonu Sood received another legal notice from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), asking him to convert a six-storey structure into a residential building from a hotel in Juhu. Reportedly, the actor, in July had said that he'd restore the project to a residential facility but failed to do so. ''This office observed that you haven't yet restored the work as per the approved plan,'' read the notice.

According to police, three men who came to take food delivery got into an argument with the restaurant's staff and created chaos. However, the police have arrested all the three accused. 17 Dead, 5 Hospitalized After China's Siji Kaiyuan hotel Collapsed

Following the collapse of China's Siji Kaiyuan hotel on July 12, the authorities have reported 17 deaths. Reportedly, the rescue team has pulled out 23 people from the rubble, among which 5 of them have been admitted to the hospital and one found uninjured. However, the team is yet to discover the cause of the collapse. Moreover, the police have arrested the hotel's managers, along with the whole construction team.

Uttarakhand Caps 50% Occupancy In Hotels Over Tourists Rush

Owing to an increased influx of tourists in Uttarakhand, the CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued an order to allow 50% occupancy at hotels in Nainital and Dehradun. “Challans are being issued to those who aren’t wearing masks,” he stated. A negative RT-PCR report is mandatory to book hotels online. Luv Aggarwal, the joint secretary of the Union health ministry cautioned that the wave of Covid-19 is not over yet.

Qatar To Build Luxurious Eco-Friendly Floating Hotel By 2025

Qatar will soon have an eco-luxury floating hotel to be built in the middle of the ocean. Developed by Turkish company 'Hayri Atak Architectural Design Studio', the 152-room hotel will generate electricity from rotation. Ahmedabad consumer forum has ordered a hotel to refund the extra amount charged for a mineral water bottle with 8 percent interest to a customer who visited there five years ago. The hotel has also been asked to pay Rs 2,500 as compensation for harassment. In 2015, Rohit Patel and his friend visited the hotel and ordered a water bottle with MRP reading Rs 20; but, they were charged Rs 164 for the same.

Punjab Eases Restrictions As It Allows Bars In Hotels To Re-open

The Punjab government has given permission to hotel bars, shopping malls and multiplexes to reopen. However, the order, which was issued on November 9, will be applied on only those places that fall outside the containment zones. A government spokesperson said that the management of all these commercial establishments must conduct their operations by following all the health guidelines issued by the authorities.
