Union Budget 2023-2024 Begins With President Murmu's Address

Union Budget 2023-2024 started on January 31, with the address of Indian President Droupadi Murmu to a joint sitting of the Parliament. The union Commerce ministry is likely to announce the new foreign trade policy for the next five years on September 29, reported PTI. Notably, the current FTP (2015-2020) will expire on September 30. This is a highly anticipated move, because the policy which was supposed to end in 2020, was postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Govt To Propose Amended Data Protection Bill 2021, After Withdrawn In 2019

The government is set to introduce Data Protection Bill (Amended) 2022, after withdrawing the previous one. On August 3, the House of Parliament introduced the new bill with 81 amendments, for passing it in the Lok Sabha. Two Cafeterias In Pakistan's Parliament House Shut After Lawmakers Complained Of Finding Cockroach In Food

In Pakistan's parliament House, two cafeterias have been shut after finding vermin in the eating area and unsanitary conditions in the kitchen. Reportedly, the lawmakers complained of being served unhygienic food, and some also found cockroaches in their food. Also, this is not the first time such incidents have occurred at Pakistan's Parliament house cafeterias, as in 2014, a cockroach was found in a ketchup bottle.
