Malayalam actor-producer Vijay Babu allegedly assaulted a woman in Kochi, Kerala. The victim, who is from Kozhikode district said, Babu committed the crime more than once on the pretext of offering a film role, said Ernakulam South Police. The police have registered a case against the founder of Friday Film House production and launched an investigation. However, they are yet to arrest and interrogate Vijay Babu in the matter.

The Kerala HC, on February 7, granted pre-arrest bail to actor Dileep for allegedly conspiring murder against police officials.
