Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot condemned the killing of a Rajasthan resident by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district. On June 2, two Rajasthan residents Vijay Kumar, a bank employee in Kulgam, was shot dead. Gehlot also criticized the BJP-led government which failed to restore the peace in the union territory.  Ashok Gehlot said, "I pray to God to give peace to his soul and courage to his family."

In Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, terrorists shot dead a Kashmiri Pandit teacher, confirmed police on May 31. The deceased teacher was identified as Rajni Bala (36) sustained injuries and was brought dead by the doctors at a nearby hospital. Furthermore, the police cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt to track down the assailants. Furthermore, this is the seventh such targeted killing in Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir zonal police confirmed the killing of two terrorists of the Hizbul Mujahideen terror-outfit, on May 29.  The deceased terrorists were identified as Ishfaq Ahmed Gaini and Yawar Ayub Dar. K Surendran, the state unit president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, slammed the Left Democratic Front (LDF) administration's silence on the matter of a Muslim girl being humiliated on stage in Malappuram. "Kerala is moving towards the ideology followed by Taliban with the help and knowledge of the Chief Minister," he said. He further stated that the Kerala government is assisting terrorists under the leadership of CM Pinarayi Vijayan. 

In Haryana's Karnal, the police detained four people, suspected to be involved with terror groups along with explosives. On May 5, the Karnal SP Ram Poonia said, three identified as Gurpreet, Amandeep and Parminder are from Punjab's Ferozepur, and one Bhupinder is from Ludhiana. SP further added, "Desi pistol, 31 live ammunition, 3 iron-container with explosives, and nearly Rs 1.3 lakh have been recovered". The case is under investigation.… read-more
