On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a 43-year-old woman gifted a new life to her brother, after she donated a part of her liver for complex transplant surgery.  On August 11, the private hospital, where the 40-year-old man, suffering from liver failure, released a statement of successful surgery. "For me, my brother is everything. I am happy that I gifted him something precious this Rakshabandhan," said the woman.

In Delhi's Daryaganj, a woman Zeeba Qureshi (40) and her lover Shoaib were arrested for husband's murder, said police on May 27. Moinuddin Qureshi (47) was shot dead on the night of May 17, by Shoaib in a white motorcycle. Notably, Zeeba wanted to get rid of her husband and planned the murder.
