A 23-year-old youth, who was trapped in the hill cleft in Palakkad district, has been rescued by an Army team on February 9. The rescue operation began at 5.45 am, Drones were used for surveillance of the location and choppers were on standby at Sulur airbase. He was immediately given food and water. Notably, The man had gone up while exploring the rocky hill along with two other friends.

In Nashik, Maharashtra, a 18-year-old Tushar Jadhav committed suicide, on December 31. According to investigate, he was playing "Blue Whale Game", which has been centre of attraction for suicide amongst youths. Jadhav was found dead in Gaikwad area, Nashik.  He said to have consumed phenyl and slit his wrist, alleged to be the final challenge of the online game, Blue Whale. In past year, the horrific game killed many youths.

A boy in Taiwan miraculously recovered from coma after hearing his favourite food's name. 18-year-old Chiu was being treated for a life-threatening accident where he had suffered multiple serious injuries. Though he remained stable, he was unconscious for 61 days after the operations.
