Mumbai Entangles In Amit Mishra's Spin; Loses To Delhi By 6 Wickets
IPL champion Mumbai Indians suffered another jolt on April 20 as Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals defeated MI by six wickets. Winning the toss, MI decided to bat, which did not go much in their favour as wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock departed early. Facing strict bowling attack of DC led by experienced Amit Mishra, Mumbai’s innings stumbled at 137 runs losing nine wickets with skipper Rohit Sharma being the highest scorer of 44-runs off 30-balls. For Delhi, Mishra took four key wickets giving just 24 runs for which he was also awarded the Player of the Match. Chasing the low target, Delhi played at its pace and Shikhar Dhawan’s composed 45-runs off 42-balls helped DC to achieve the target with five balls remaining. Winning the match by six wickets DC now stands second on the points table following Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore.
