Delhi L-G Endorses Suspension Of Excise Department Personnel For Failing To Execute Policies

Delhi Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena on August 6, authorized suspension of Arava Gopi Krishna, former commissioner of excise department, and Anand Kumar Tiwari, former commissioner of Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service. LG made the judgment in light of substantial failures in the application of Excise Policy by the officials involved. Directorate of Vigilance found internal irregularities in concluding tender and giving post-tender advantages to certain suppliers in its report.
