The End of an Era: MS Dhoni Says Goodbye, Raina Follows
After a career spanning 16 years, Mahendra Singh Dhoni took to social media to announce his retirement from International Cricket on August 15. The retirement of MS Dhoni leaves the cricket world and the fans grappled with emotions, as he made an unexpected announcement on Instagram stating, "Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout. From 1929 hrs consider me as retired”. Suresh Raina also decided to follow the footsteps of the CSK captain and bid goodbye to International Cricket stating, "It was nothing but lovely playing with you, @mahi7781. With my heart full of pride, I choose to join you on this journey. Thank you, India. Jai Hind!" Both Dhoni and Raina will continue to play in the IPL to be held in UAE from September 19 and are currently in Chennai for a training camp. MS Dhoni is the only captain in the history of Cricket, to win all three ICC Champions Trophies - The T20 World Cup (2007), The World Cup (2011), and The Champions Trophy (2013).
