Immunization Drops By 60% As States Claim Scarcity Of Doses
The shortage of vaccine supply has resulted in a decline of immunization by nearly 60%, shortly after the Centre took over-vaccination procurement. Reportedly, on June 27, over 4 crore people were vaccinated in India. However, during July 5-11, only 2.3 crore people were administered. At least 80 lakh doses have to be administered every day to meet the Centre's deadline of vaccinating all Indians by the end of 2021.
