India Provides Training Aids To Sri Lanka 's Naval Academy Worth Rs 81L
India gave training aids worth Rs 81,00,000 to Sri Lanka's Naval and Maritme Academy, trincomalee on March 14 for capacity building measures. The training equipments included models of heavy-weight torpedo ‘Varunastra’, underwater telephone and model of HMS Trincomalee. Handing to Lanka’s Commander Eastern Naval Area, Indian envoy Gopal Baglay expressed the significance of ushering ties with both navies. Besides, the Indian High Commission also pledged to assist regional navies by providing pedagogical items.
