J&K: Newborn Girl Discovered Alive After Being Buried Dies In Hospital

A newborn girl was proclaimed dead on May 24 at a hospital in Ramban, Jammu & Kashmir, shortly after her birth. However, she was discovered alive, an hour after her burial but died at the hospital. An investigation has been initiated. In the gynecology section, a junior staff nurse and a sweeper have been suspended pending an investigation. The event triggered protests against the doctors' and hospital staff's "non-professional attitude."
