Kolkata Metro Cancels Mandatory E-passes To Travel From January 18
The Kolkata Metro Authorities announced that from January 18 passengers would not require e-passes to commute. Earlier, the city's metro services resumed from September 14 following the COVID-19 propelled lockdown and mandated e-passes for boarding the metro trains. Besides the new relaxation, the Kolkata metro spokesperson Indrani Banerjee has announced to increase the frequency of the weekday services on the North-South Line from 228 to 240.
