Remote Village Saddal Gets Power Supply After 75 Years Of Independence
Saddal village of Jammu and Kashmir got electricity supply for the first time after Independence on April 6 under ‘Untied Grants Scheme’. “As per the directions of the government and Deputy Commissioner, nearly 25 houses in the village have been benefitted after the installation of a 25KVA transformer,” stated an official. Notably, the initiative was possible because of the Panchayati Raj Act which was recently implemented in Jammu and Kashmir.
