Sri Lanka PM Ranil Wickremesinghe Willing To Step Down; Pave Room For All-Party Govt
The party leaders in Sri Lanka were informed on July 9 by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe that he is ready to step down and allow an all-party administration to assume office. This comes after Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, called on the President and Prime Minister to resign. "No fake discussions. The President and the Prime Minister must resign immediately," Premadasa said in a statement.
